Abrasive Wheels

The training is intended for Operatives & Supervisors who use portable tools where changing wheels is necessary. The overall aim is to provide training to comply with the Provision and Use of work Equipment Regulations in the safe mounting of abrasive wheels and discs on portable machinery. The course covers:

• Handling and storage
• Inspecting wheels
• Performing a ring test
• Speed and speed conversion
• Identifying components
• Adjusting the work rest
